How does it feel (LeBron)

How does it feel LeBron James that your 2 wins away from winning a 3rd championship AND Cleveland's first?! The feeling would be great for a city that hasn't won anything since Jim Brown's Browns.
Shall we go and see how LeBron got to this point.....Hmmmm I don't think I need to hash that out at this point but this has a serious feel good story, he could of easily stayed in Miami and they could of been the favorites but if we look at what happened to the Heat (Bosh done for the season) I don't know how LeBron would of willed that team to the playoffs or even the Finals.
So again I ask "How does it feel" LeBron to make the decision to go back home the best move in your career. I didn't think when the season started that this team was going to the Finals, well maybe the way the roster looked I thought conference finals but with a trade here & there here they are. I'm sure it feels good LeBron,  again your 2 wins away from making history in the city of Cleveland & the state of Ohio.
I'm gonna only wonder what that feeling is like but I'm sure LeBron James will let us all know my question,  "How does it feel (LeBron)".......

NBAStyle......

Now I know I'm a man who has a sense of style and I know a thing or 2 BUT why are we or I should say the NBA is promoting  NBASTYLE like these guys are the fashion models of the world??

Most of us middle class folks can't afford half of the things that these ball players wear on a day to day basis so for the NBA to do this to me is not right....if there is anything that these guys may catch my eye is there kicks and even most are to expensive to buy.

Half of the things that they wear is laughable and I know as a father I would want my child to wear it. This is something the NBA should shoot down and stop making it like they are fashion experts.

See long time ago guys like Michael Jordan,  Magic Johnson would come to the game in a nice suit, that was cool, today's player's wear loud colors,  tight fitted close they they either took there baby brothers outfit or shopped in the women's section and think they in style.

Here's a thing they can do....donate or help some unfortunate people who can't afford clothes,  now THAT'S style,  and that will have a lasting effect on someone for a long time.

Now we got guy's doing interviews on what the fuck a player is wearing?! Give me a break, here is a fashion statement NBA, STOP promoting NBA Style,  because some of us can't afford it!!

And I don't want to get started on how ppl are getting injured or killed over there "style"....will save that talk for another time........

Black Thoughts...

Another Black History Month

Well it's been a few days since Black History Month has past and once again it didn't feel like it to me.

I wonder what it's like in the school system today?  I would have to ask a few teacher's who can help answer that question but again they give us the shortest month of the year and the earliest. I'm not sure if their is anything we can do about that but to just have Black History every time/chance we get. We don't have to teach it during the month of February but we can teach it every day.

There is more history (black) then Martin & Malcolm. Let's teach about those who were never talked about or even the ones that do a lot for there community. What's wrong with that?!

We really don't need to teach it during the month of February like I said but we can teach it everyday of our lives but yes to know your future you must know your past or is it there's no future without a pasr? I wonder....I really do

Oscar's

So the Oscars was last night ok I could end my blog there but I'll continue.

I really look at the Oscars as to see what movies did what and I would make my assessment on which movie to see and not see but in the end it's no big deal for me to break my neck to see the show.

Congrats to all the winner's and I still don't know who won (well with the exception of Birdman) I'll see if any of these movies are worth my time.

If American Sniper WAS nominated then I saw it, it was excellent...Bradley Cooper was great and I would see it again.

So that's my take on the Oscars......

Knicks Summer of 15

Ok we clearly see the Knicks are in rebuild mode, but nit in season rebuild but this is the 2015 summer for Phil Jackson. This team could either look like the Allen Iverson team in his era or they can build it right like the Spurs of now.
Carmelo Anthony is clearly the head of this team and it's time he has the right player's around him, who are those player's only Phil knows but I have a few player's in mind....

Marc Gasol would be ideal to play in this offense but he's not the player u see playing here. Greg Monroe is that guy, he is a second teir player I see that fits next to Carmelo. He can post up, run the floor, pass well for a big man and he gets dirt on the boards

The next fellow I see is Tobias Harris. Now he can play both forward spots but he's best suited as a stretch 4 and he's a native New Yorker guy.

And last but not least as much as I wo u ld love for Rondo to run the point, I think the Knicks should reach out to Doran Gragic from Phoenix. He's a under the radar point guard and he is a second opinion if Rondo says no to the Knicks. Would it be nice if the Knicks can get all 3 yes....but 2 out of 3 is not within reach and I think they will get 2 of these guys.

So if Phil this blog gets to you great but I'm sure you know this already....forget the big fish, maybe it's ok to check the pond and see what you can find because some really quality player's in the pond instead of the big NBA ocean.

Our ppl (Blacks)

The way things are going in society today it is REALLY tough being a black figure, especially a male figure.

Is the Police who are out there to protect & serve really doing that? In light of what happened to Mike Brown & Eric Gardner this has been going on for years/centuries and it's time for us to teach and build ourselves up to the high standards that we should be.

I'm not sure if I should be afraid of my son who has NO clue on what's going on in the world today but it's up to me to teach him and pray that he takes it to heart where he may never be in that position that these men were in....Yes Trayvon should be here too...not to say his parents didn't teach him but the system clearly failed and that's a whole different topic for another day.

To me we don't have a voice like how Malcolm or Martin was before my time and I don't think we won't but it's up to every father...black father's to teach their children on what these officers may be up to or maybe we just need to learn how not to put ourselves in situations that may turn for the worst.

Sick of reading, hearing about it but instead of burning OUR people's property we need to do things more constructive and let our voices be heard. This may be the time to strike but for now I have time to teach my son when I feel the time is right for him to hear it.

Again not all police officers are bad but I'm sure they feel different in protecting there own and that's a side I wouldn't want to be on.

I feel this will all die down until it hits home again..and I'm hoping and praying that it doesn't hit close to home

Raising your child(ren)

Well this is something that can be looked in so may ways but I will speak on what I know.

Raising children today can be a hard thing to do depending on how you was brought up into the word but if you had/have the right parents then you to can bring your children up the same way but it can be tricky,  like say when you want to discipline your child.  Some may spank a child and in today's world that is wrong but it's a certain way (to me) spank them. (I shall not say what's right or wrong on how to do it but again everyone is different)

You basically have to raise your child(ren) with respect and self awareness these days so that they can show there future kid(s) the same way. There are to many children when they get older they feel they can talk to there parents a certain way and to me if that's not stopped at that moment then it will continue but again that's taught at an early age.

I want my children to know a lot because they are going to experience so much as they grow up and I as a parent has to be ready because a lot of things that I've experienced they will or they may see it differently than I did. There is so much that I have to be prepared for as an adult that I have to be there for them and I'm up for the challenge.

At the end of it all we as parents is there a right or wrong way to raise children. ...No it just a matter of whatever your way of raising them is your way, you can learn from other parents and that's great but to me it's all the same and you have to make sure that your child(ren) know that they will learn from it and take it with them and teach their children in the future.

I was raised a certain way and some of those ways I'm teaching my son but I gave to remember that the way I was brought up isn't the best but I have to see and know what's best for him and that he will understand and learn from it and take it with him in his life and hope that it will make him a good person in life.
